My record player showroom is located just 3.5km from the Melbourne CBD, and is open by appointment most weeknights and all weekend. It’s a relaxed, no-pressure space designed for vinyl lovers who want to hear the difference between turntables before they buy.

I have around 12 different record players and vinyl turntables permanently set up and ready to listen to, ranging from entry-level models through to high-fidelity hi-fi turntables. There are hundreds of vinyl records on hand, or you’re very welcome to bring your own vinyl records to test sound quality, tonearms, cartridges, speakers, and amplifiers using music you know well.

I really enjoy demonstrating the pros and cons of each record player, explaining how different turntable designs, cartridges, speakers, and amps affect sound quality. Whether you’re after your first record player, upgrading your home hi-fi system, or comparing serious audiophile gear, you’ll be able to listen, compare, and ask questions without being rushed.

The showroom operates out of my 150-year-old Richmond terrace house, so don’t be surprised to arrive at what feels more like a home than a shop. If possible, please send a quick message when you’re on the way so I can turn the music down and listen out for the door 🙂
